Manus Island: Not in my name

“Please pray for us.” This is a message I received last night from a detainee on Manus Island who had contacted me through my facebook page. It broke my heart, for, in reality, his prayers were for deliverance from me. Whether I like it or not, as an Australian voter, I have been complicit in prolonging and adding to the suffering of people that have done no wrong.
